8:00am to 9:00am - Registration with coffee and casual
continental breakfast
9:00am to 9:15am - Welcome and opening remarks by Rob Sequin

9:15am to 10:15am - Legal travel to Cuba and US Cuba travel

10:15am to 11:00am - Love, Loss and Longing book discussion
and the effects of US travel restrictions on Cuban American
families - Authors Jeanne Lemkau and David Strug
11:00am to 11:15am - Break - Enjoy a Cuban music experience
while browsing our "on the side" tables and exhibit areas
(see below)
11:15am to 12:15pm - Introduce Yourself - We will
go around the room and let everyone give a one or two
minute short presentation about their interests
or Cuba related projects, organizations, websites etc with
which they are involved. This will give you the opportunity to
meet everyone at the seminar and follow up with them during
lunch.
Please feel free to bring business cards and promotional
materials for placement on our "on the side" tables for
distribution to attendees (space permitting).
12:15pm to 1:00pm - Cuban lunch will be provided. Follow up
with the people you just met and enjoy:

more. It'll be a fun wrap up to the day.
NOTE: Merri Ansara from
CommonGroundTravel.com will make a short
presentation at some point during the day to talk about the
current situation in Cuba as a result of
hurricanes Gustav and Ike. Donations will be accepted
for humanitarian aid for the Cuban people.
Merri's organization and the Latin America Working Group have
been advocating for humanitarian relief for the Cuban people
and the Havana Journal has
been covering the situation in
Cuba since hurricanes Gustav and
Ike have greatly affected the lives
of everyone in Cuba.
Congressman Bill Delahunt's office has
been invited.

Our "on the side" tables and exhibit areas will feature
a variety of art from the Center for Cuban Studies along
with books for sale and authors available for
book signings.

us free samples of their subscription newsletters so we

Donations
Financial donations will be accepted by a US Treasury
licensed organization that will provide relief to the victims
of hurricanes Gustav and Ike.
After the Cuba Seminar

For those who are staying over night on Cape Cod Saturday
evening and into Sunday, we can recommend Cape Cod locations of

enjoy your September Cape Cod weekend.
